Youth Basketball tournament located in Gordon and Rushville, NE on March 7-8. There will be four divisions of play. A combined 5th-6th grade boys division, a combined 5th-6th grade girls division, a combined 7th-8th grade boys division and a combined 7th-8th grade girls division. Divisions will be limited to the first 6 teams to enter.

Gordon-Rushville Kiwanis We-Not-Me Hoop Shoot Rules 
National High School Federation Rules will be used with the following exceptions:  

  1. All teams should be ready to play ten minutes prior to their game time so that games can be started ahead of schedule if possible.  Teams that are more than ten minutes late to the contest will forfeit.  Teams must have at least four players.
  2. All teams should have the same colored jerseys with numbers on at least one side.
  3. Shoes worn to the facility cannot be worn on the gymnasium floor.  Shoes must be changed and be non-marking soles.
  4. Players must compete in their own grade classification, with the exception that lower grades may participate in a higher division. Players can compete on only one team in the tournament.
  5. All jewelry, watches and earrings will be removed prior to game time.
  6. Pickup players will not be allowed once the tournament has begun without the consent of the tournament director.
  7. Team coaches must keep their players off the court when not playing. (No shooting during timeouts, half-time, etc).
  8. All divisions will use a 28.5-inch basketball. Each team shall have a good ball available for use by the official.
  9. Each team may need to supply one adult score keeper or clock operator for each game that team is scheduled.
  10. Games will be played in two 18-minute halves with a running clock with a 5-minute half time.  Note: The clock will stop on time outs, free throws, and injuries. The clock will stop on all whistles the final two minutes of the game if the point differential is less than 15 points.
  11. Each team shall receive two one-minute time-outs per half for all levels.
  12. Overtimes will last two minutes, and each team will be given one additional timeout. If an additional overtime is required, it will be sudden death with no timeouts allowed.
  13. Players are allowed five personal fouls.  Bonus free throws will be awarded on the opposition’s seventh team foul in each half with the two shot bonus awarded on the team’s tenth foul.
  14. All divisions allow full court pressing.  However, once a fifteen-point lead has been reached, a full court press must be removed.
  15. Substitution is allowed only on dead balls. Please have players check in at the scorers table. Failure to do so can result in a technical foul. 
  16. All technical and/or intentional fouls will result in the other team receiving two free throws, plus the ball out of bounds.  Any player or coach who receives two technical fouls shall be removed from the game and possibly the tournament.  Any player or coach ejected from the game will sit out the next game.
